Room in a shared flat

Hello dear interested female and male applicants,
At the beginning of November 2026 (or by arrangement) a spacious room will become available in my shared apartment (WG) with a living room and balcony, and I am looking for a second person for a cozy, joyful life together.

WG life: You would move in with me, Caro, a 24-year-old sociology and law student who enjoys being outdoors in nature and loves sports - often both together. I engage a lot with world events and can be enthusiastic about almost anything. Alongside my studies, I work in an outdoor shop and take care of my two pygmy goats (not in the WG, but in BL). I enjoy meeting people and would be happy to do something with you from time to time (chatting, cooking vegan, strolling, raving, reading... you name it, I'm in :) But don't worry: I am a big fan of personal space ;)

Your room: 18 qm with a large window are available to you. You get sun in the morning - so it is nicely bright in winter and not too hot in summer.

The apartment: The apartment is located on a quiet street on the 3rd floor (no lift, but I am happy to help with moving) - from the well-equipped kitchen (except dishwasher) you look directly into the greenery of some trees, and from the living room you can go onto the balcony to enjoy your peace.

The location: On foot, you are at the Felix-Platter-Spital or Thomaskirche stop in 3 minutes, at a manageable Coop in 2 minutes, at Aldi in 10 minutes, and within a short walking distance of Westfeld with gym etc. To SBB, it takes about 20 minutes by public transport, and about 10 minutes by bicycle.

You: Are looking for a new home in Basel, are an open person, enjoy joining in on shared activities, but are just as independent, well-organized, appreciate a clean WG, and are ready to openly discuss problems or new creative ideas. Desired: Veggie/vegan, all genders (especially FINTAs and queers). Not desired: discrimination, sexism, and disrespectful behavior.

The costs: Your WG room costs 800.- net, with service charges CHF 925.-. (If the budget is tight, let's discuss it!) It is intended that I take over the main rent, but I am open to that.

The furnishing: A large part of the furniture will be taken by your predecessor, so you are welcome to participate in the redesign if you like.
