Geography:
Utzenstorf is located at 476 m above sea level, 9 km south of the city of Solothurn (as the crow flies). The village extends in the flat alluvial plain of the Emme, east of the canalized river course, in the Swiss Mittelland.

Transport
The municipality is well connected in terms of transport. It is located on a connecting road from Bätterkinden to Burgdorf or to Koppigen. The nearest connection to the A1 motorway (Bern-Zürich) is located around 7 km from the village center.
With the train, there are very good connections to Burgdorf/Bern (partly without changing) as well as Solothurn.
